Please be aware that telnet access will soon be disabled in favor of SSH, a secure alternative.

There are several free SSH clients available on the web. For Windows users, one such client is PuTTY.

Instructions For Using PuTTY

Download putty.exe and run it.

For "Host Name", enter your spruce email address, e.g.:

uniqname@spruce.umflint.edu

Then press the "Open" button at the bottom.

The first time you connect, you will be prompted to accept the server's host key. Press "Yes" to login.
