British Academy - The national organization for scholars in the humanities and social sciences in the United Kingdom.  Primarily of interest to British scholars, the academy seeks to promote and support advanced research and to further international collaboration and scholarly exchange.

British Council- Wales - The British Council-Wales is a government agency for the international promotion of Welsh institutions and businesses, including higher education.

CADW - Information on this conservation agency for Welsh historic sites and monuments.

Celtic Studies Association of North America - CSANA is a multidisciplinary organization that embraces all aspects of Celtic studies and sponsors an annual conference.  Their site contains an extensive bibliography.

Centre for Advanced Welsh and Celtic Studies - A research center focusing on Welsh and Celtic languages and cultures.

Council for British Archaeology - The home page for the major archaeological organization in the United Kingdom, featuring online publications, a listserve, links, ect.

Cysgod - A shelter organization for Welsh organizations to communicate across states, regions and continents.

Dylan Thomas Centre  - Literary center in Swansea that holds public events and exhibitions.

H-Albion - Homepage of a listserve dedicated to scholarly discussion of British and Irish history.

Institute of Welsh Affairs - The IWA is an independent think tank and research institute, based in Cardiff but with branches in north, mid and west Wales, Swansea Bay, and London.

Mining History Network - A scholarly organization for the study of mining and mining communities across the world, including the mining vallies of Wales.

Mining History Information Pages - Details of events, research and work in progress in the field of mining history, concentrating on Wales and southwest England.

National Trust - Principle conservation organization for Wales, England and Northern Ireland, focusing on sites of historic interest and natural beauty.

North American Association for Celtic Language Teachers - A scholarly association for teachers and researchers of Celtic languages.

North American Conference on British Studies - A scholarly society affiliated with the AHA and open to anyone interested in British civilization.  The NACBS sponsors two academic journals, an annual national conference and several regional conferences.

Ordinance Survey - Homepage for Britain's national mapping agency.  Includes free downloadable maps and ordering information.

Royal Commission on the Ancient and Historic Mounments of Wales - Government body that records and interprets sites, landscapes, monuments, buildings and maritime archaeology of Wales.  Includes information on an archive and public information service.

Royal Commission on Historical Manuscripts - An important resource for historians, archivists and genealogists maintained by a commission reporting on all British records outside the domain of the Public Records Offices.  Includes a searchable database of collections and indexes of the National Register of Archives, the Manorial Documents Register and ARCHON, an information gateway for the historical and archival professions.

The British Library - A leading resource for scholarship in all disciplines.  Important collections for the study of British history and culture, including Wales.

National Library of Wales - A national copyright library containing the major resources and collections for Welsh studies.  Access to the library's catalog is available through telnet link.

Thomas Parry Library - The home page for the library of the University of Wales, Aberystwyth.  Includes an online catalog.

Public Record Office - The depository for all public records in England and Wales.  Features search engine and information for historians and genealogists.
