- General:
- Dr. Vahid Lotfi taught a class in Netscape Composer and ignited my interest in learning more about web sites.
- Sidney Horton shared so much of what he has learned.
- The World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) HyperText Markup Language pages provided detailed information on how to write HTML from which I learned a great deal.
- I took a number of the needed conversion factors from Merriam-Webster Online and from their weight table.
- My list of states is from the United States Postal Service and the list of Canadian provinces is from the Canada Post site for my pull-down menu.
- My header quotes are all from the King James Bible.
- My son proofread my work and suggested quite a few places for improvement because he thinks I ai'nt no gud spelller.

- I took the list of famous people's birthdays from the Kids Parties Connection to use on my calendar page.
- My Calendar page uses birthstone information from Mrs. Gottrocks Events or Sales.
- Properties for the elements on my Periodic Table of the Elements page were taken from a similar page at my son's site.
- Programming:
- I learned to greet my visitors according to the time of day at Stupid Web Tricks.
- To open a popup tip window, I modified ideas from Jamie Jawarski.
- I learned at Rajesh Vijayakumar's site how to keep my "Last updated" line correct without effort if the server will allow. I added code to print something usefull (which you must keep up-to-date) even if the server is not being co-operative.
- I visited The JavaScript Source to learn how to preload images to make my site display more quickly and to display browser and page information.
- I found the book "PERL and CGI for the World Wide Web" by Elizabeth Castro and the associated web site very informative.
- My "Account Number Verify" page is based on information from Credit Card Number Verification by David Turley.
- Garreth Galligan gave me the idea to set the focus to the first field of my forms when they load.
- To send an e-mail and bring up a "thank you" page, I based my code on some from Ash Hardisteer.
- I pulled some information from WS Abstract on displaying browser/page information.
- From Bookmarklets.com I adapted an item that allowed me to create my example of how to e-mail the source code of a page, and took the basics for my BookMarklets page.
- Graphics:
- My animated fleur-de-lis images are from the clipartcastle site.
- MediaBuilder provided the chalk background sometimes used on this site, my kissing penguins, and the upper navigation arrows. I further processed the arrows through netmechanic to reduce their size.
- Sometimes I prefer the satin background pulled from the Candystryper's Sensual Satin Backgrounds champagne.jpg file.
- The lion picture is from The Tyger.
- The picture of me was taken by Dr. Lotfi during the Netscape Composer class.
- I made the lower navigation and audio buttons, the "Y2K OK" and "No Y2K Bug" spots, and the "No JavaScript found" and "JavaScript is ready" images using MS-Paint, converted the .bmp files to .gif format using PolyView from polybytes, processed the navigation items into buttons at MediaBuilder's ButtonMaker, then reduced the file sizes at the netmechanic site.
- I made the dots and filled squares on my Graphics page using MS-Paint and then reduced the files sizes at the netmechanic site.
- The pointing hand used in my "you are here" lines is from the 321clipart.com site and was edited using Polyview.
- The usa_map.gif and canada.gif images and their associated coordinates were taken from http://www.ramada.com/Ramada/control/hotel_top.
- Audio:
- Thanks to Midi Country for the "Seven Spanish Angels," "Write Myself a Letter," "Have I Told You Lately that I Love You," and "Somewhere My Love" midi files.
- I took the "Scotland the Brave" midi and lyrics from Rhonda Bergman's web site at the University of Michigan at Dearborn.
- From mseek I copied the "I will Follow Him," "Gilligan's Island," and "Get Me to the Church on Time" midis.
- The "Edelweiss," "Hey Jude," "Sounds of Silence," "Matchmaker," "1812 Overture," and "House of the Rising Sun" midis are from Duane Bristow's site.
- I found the "Theme from Bonanza" at the musica page.

- My site has been checked for disability access with Bobby and was awarded their approval.
- The Any-Browser icon is from anybrowser.org for working to make my site viewable by all browsers.
