English 516 Computers and Writing:
Theory and Practice

I took this class in Fall 2002 with Dr. Steve Krause at Eastern Michigan University. I learned that all writing is technology, not just writing done on a computer. We also explored different aspects of computers and writing: making our own technology, analyzing our access to technology, writing web pages in html, and revising web pages with an editing program (like Composer). We also discussed and looked at MUDs, MOOs, and Blogs.

Here some of the work I did for the class, including my research project:

Inventing Your Own Technology (assignment)
Access Issues (assignment)
My First Web Page (written in html without an editing program)
Discussion of My Revised Web Page (why it looks like this) -- Dr. Krause's comments on it
The Implications of E-mail for the College Writing Instructor (research project)
-- Dr. Krause's comments on it
