Put the three-digit decimal number at the left of any cell of the table in place of the question mark in "&#?;" to display the character at the right of that cell.  Some browsers squeeze the table horizontally and put the decimal code number above the character to be displayed.  To get the paragraph symbol (¶) in cell B6, put "¶" into your page at the desired point.  Don't include the quotes and don't forget the semicolon at the end.

If your screen or window is small, the table may display rather badly.  You may wish to see only the right half on a page by itself, or the Greek Letter Codes.

Cells shown above in light green color (the left two columns and the 7F cell) are control codes not used for displaying characters.  Those shown with a white background (the third through eighth columns) are standard characters and are normally typed as-is rather than being encoded.  Only the character codings in cells with yellow backgrounds (the right eight columns) are actually usefull.  The deep-yellow cells (columns 8 and 9) are not part of the standard character set and will display differently on different browsers.  They are included here so that you may see what is displayed on yours.

The column and row labels give the hexadecimal encodings of the cells.  This is not important for using this table, but may be of use to you for decimal/hex conversions.
