About this Writing Across the Curriculum Conference:

This conference presents a unique opportunity for high school and college faculty throughout the state of Michigan to come together around the central theme of writing.  The conference is designed for all instructors who are committed to giving their students the best possible preparation for the future, including college instructors in all disciplines and secondary teachers who are concerned about the writing component of Michigan's state-wide assessments in science, math, social studies (forthcoming), reading, and writing.

The conference will feature panel presentations, roundtable discussions, and informal dialogues, enabling participants to share what they have been doing with writing in their classes, learn from each other, and engage in conversations about key issues and concerns in using writing to learn in all disciplines.
