Hello and welcome to my homepage. I am an assistant professor in the Computer Science, Engineering Science, and Physics (CSESP) Department at the University of Michigan-Flint. My research interests include investigations of semiconductor and metal surfaces using scanning tunneling microscopy as well as physics education, especially the area of conceptual development. My education has consisted of a bachelors degree in physics from Hamline University in St. Paul, Minnesota and a Ph.D. in physics from the University of Minnesota. Before joining the faculty, I was employed as a post-doctoral researcher at the University of California-Davis. I currently work on characterizing compound semiconductors at Materials Science and Engineering located on the Ann Arbor campus of the University of Michigan. My contact information is listed below.
